MICROCLIM

Title: A micro-scale perspective on alpine floras under climate change
Project leader: Stefan Dullinger (University of Vienna, Austria)
Funding: European research Council (ERC)
Description:
In a warming climate the biota of the coldest places on Earth appear particularly threatened. Microclim explores the case of European high-mountains floras and evaluates to which extent microclimatic variation at high elevations may buffer their species against a warming macroclimate.
Research team: Stefan Dullinger, Karl Hülber, Dietmar Moser, Johaness Wessely, Kryštof Chytrý  Andras Gattinger, Norbert Helm (University of Vienna); Harald Pauli, Andrea Lamprecht, Patrick Saccone (Austrian Academy of Sciences); Martin Rutzinger, Andreas Mayr, Andreas Kollert  (University of Innsbruck), and collaborators from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna - DIB and GLORA Europe
